Clean diapers are a basic need of every baby and toddler.
1 in 2 U.S. families with young children cannot afford enough diapers to keep their infant or child clean, dry, and healthy.
1 in 4 parents miss work or school because they can’t afford the diapers required to leave their baby in childcare. Without clean diapers:
Help us meet basic needs and strengthen the community by supporting local families with young children.
UW Valleys fights for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in Western Wisconsin by ensuring every family in Burnett, Dunn, Pepin, Pierce, Polk and St. Croix counties has access to the basic necessities of life.
In the United States, diapers are not covered by federal or state assistance programs like SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) or WIC (Women, Infants and Children). This can make it challenging for families to afford enough diapers to keep their children clean, dry, and healthy.
That's why we’ve launched the UW Valleys Diaper Bank. The continued goal is to provide diapers to families in need, so they can focus on other essential needs like food, shelter, and healthcare. With your support, we can continue to provide this essential service to our community. Currently UW Valleys partners with local food pantries, in Dunn, Pierce, and Polk counties to help provide basic needs for local families.
During Give Big Valleys, we’re asking for YOUR help to raise funds to purchase diapers and other essential baby supplies for families in need. 100% of your donation will go directly towards buying diapers and distributing them to families in our communities.
By supporting UW Valleys program, you are making a significant impact in the lives of our littlest neighbors and their families. When families have access to the basic necessities of life, they are more likely to THRIVE and contribute to the community in positive ways.
Together, we can make a difference.
