Operation HELP

Operation HELP supports neighbors in St. Croix and Pierce Counties by providing food, emergency financial assistance, and essential resources to help families stay stable during difficult times.

No one should have to face hard times alone.

When a job changes, rent increases, or an unexpected expense hits, families in our community can quickly find themselves struggling to keep up. For many, it’s not one big crisis—but a series of small challenges that add up fast.

Operation HELP is here to make sure those moments don’t become long-term hardship.

We provide coordinated, local support so families can access food, stay housed, and get the resources they need to move forward with stability and dignity. Whether it’s a parent trying to keep groceries on the table, a senior facing rising utility costs, or a family navigating a temporary setback—your support makes a real difference.

Your gift helps provide:

Food Security
Through Fresh Harvest Pantry and The Hudson Backpack Program, families and children have consistent access to nutritious food.

Housing Stability
Emergency assistance for rent, utilities, and car repairs helps prevent homelessness and keeps families safe. Temporary Emergency Shelter provides 1 to 3 days of emergency motel lodging for people who are facing health or safety risks but are unable to secure other shelter options.

Basic Needs & Family Support
The Diaper Bank, hygiene items, underwear/socks, pet food, and other essentials help children and families stay healthy, prepared, and supported. Regular budgeting classes help clients understand and take charge of their household income and expense challenges.

Communities served include Baldwin, Deer Park, Emerald, Glenwood City, Hammond, Houlton, New Richmond, River Falls, Roberts, Somerset, Star Prairie, Wilson, Woodville, and cities and towns from adjacent counties. Many services are also available for people who are homeless.

Your support creates real impact right here at home.

Last year, Operation HELP provided:

  • Over 20,000 program engagements
  • More than 668,000 pounds of food distributed
  • 2,200+ backpacks for local students
  • Over $250,000 in emergency financial assistance

Every number represents a neighbor supported during a difficult time.

Your gift helps meet urgent needs today—and prevents bigger crises tomorrow.

"I need help paying for my $1400 rent..."

"My car repair is $804 - and I can't get to work without it..."

These and many, many others are real requests coming through our doors everyday.

Give today. Help a neighbor stay fed, housed, and supported. Every donation—no matter the size—makes a  meaningful difference for local families.
