Frederic Arts is a nonprofit established in 2009 to create artistic opportunities and preserve community culture through educational events and programs.  We are committed to supporting our community by offering affordable artistic opportunities for all ages and ability levels.  Besides our year round free concerts, our free artist lecture series, and our work with seniors at Traditions, Frederic Arts is expanding the types of educational opportunities we offer as well as the age ranges we cater to.  PLEASE HELP US KEEP ALL WE DO AFFORDABLE!

We strive to introduce artistic expression to all ages, and we want to reach as many people as possible.

"When Times are Tough, The Tough turn to Art."   We know budgets are tight right now.  Everyone deserves safe, inexpensive access to learning opportunities and good entertainment.  Frederic Arts is focused on providing these outlets to all.  One of our regular open studio attendees describes the experience as affordable mental health therapy, and she is right.

Want to try something new?  We now offer open studios sessions for pottery, glass, fabric arts, and other art forms.  All the equipment and materials are provided by Frederic Arts.   A beginner class in drawing, oil painting, stained glass?  We've got you covered.  But we need your help to keep our class fees low and our shelves stocked with opportunities to create.  

Don't forget Frederic Arts free 3rd grade art projects, free work with Traditions assisted living residents, free art projects and concerts during Family Days, free craft projects at Frederic tree lighting festival. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO FUND THESE PROGRAMS AND OTHERS THAT WE OFFER.

All funds raised in this campaign will be invested in building up our inventory of art materials, helping to upgrade our equipment with a new gas-fired pottery kiln, and supporting and expanding our class stucture so that we may offer artistic opportunities to more in our community.

KIDS      
Many of our programs and efforts are directed at providing creative endeavors for Frederic Youth.  Most of these programs are free.

• Art Activities on the lawn during Frederic Family Days community celebration.
• Take-home drawing and art kits for Frederic 3rd-graders during the Thanksgiving break.
• Holiday Tree lighting ceremony art projects.

SENIORS

Monthly hands-on art activities with assisted living residents.

COMMUNITY 
Free outdoor music concerts featuring area talent, May-September, and house concerts in the winter.

Artist Lecture Series - Hearing local and regional artists speak about what inspires their work.

Adult art classes from Acrylic Painting to Pottery to Weaving - We offered 52 different classes in 2025.  The interest and diversity continue to grow.

   Your generous donation will help supply the clay, glass, paints, and equipment to enable us to make our class offerings more affordable for more people.

CLASSES

Classes for all ages and abilities are a mainstay of our effort.  We are constantly looking for ways to expand our offerings.  Pottery classes fill up fast now that we have five wheels.  We also offer batik, drawing, painting, weaving, and timber frame classes.  For the first time stained glass classes are available as well.

 Concerts - Everyone loves our music!

Our expanded concert series is very popular.  From May - September we offer concerts in our bandshell featuring local artists.  Food trucks and beverages for sale round out the experience.  The acoustics are so good, even the village rents our bandshell for their concerts! Everyone around turns out to enjoy the music and visit with friends and neighbors.  

Now that we are fully accessible, Frederic Arts has reinstated our winter house concert series as well.
Three bands in February, March and April to help with the winter doldrums.
