Five Loaves Food and Clothing Center Inc

The work of Five Loaves Food and Clothing is accomplished through four programs: Five Loaves Food Shelf, Two Fish Thrift Store, Home Deliveries to Seniors, and the Community Outreach Meal for Everyone (COME).  These programs help us meet our mission to collect and distribute food, clothing and other appropriate items to people residing within the New Richmond School District.

Five Loaves has sustained itself for over 30 years as a result of the work and support of local volunteers who believe in giving back to their community by caring for family, friends and neighbors in need of help.  Due to the current economic climate due to inflation, we are giving more food to more clients on a weekly basis.

In 2025, we gave out 300,000 pounds of food to 4000 households in the New Richmond area, a 6% increase from 2024.

This year, donations during Give Big will be added to our capital campaign as we work towards a permanent home for Five Loaves Food Shelf and Two Fish Thrift Store. Thanks to the generosity of the Soderberg Family, all donations made will be matched dollar‑for‑dollar, up to $75,000. That means your support will go twice as far toward creating a space that better serves our community.

This project is about building a facility that’s more accessible, more efficient, and ready for the future so we can continue serving our neighbors with care and dignity.
