At the end of the Gunflint Trail, where the wilderness opens wide and the lakes stretch long, Wilderness Canoe Base is more than a place to go—it is a place where hearts are quieted, faith is nurtured, and lives are changed.

Located 54 miles northwest of Grand Marais, Minnesota, Wilderness Canoe Base welcomes campers, families, churches, and friends into a sacred place of peace, beauty, and spiritual renewal. Surrounded by the forests and waters of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, camp offers space to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with God’s creation.

Our mission is rooted in nurturing Christ-centered identity through immersive wilderness experiences. On our two islands on Seagull Lake, campers encounter more than breathtaking scenery—they discover friendship, worship, prayer, grace, and the lasting gift of Christian community.

Each year, young people paddle into the Boundary Waters and into something deeper:

*A Christ-centered community that helps them know they are loved, welcomed, and never alone
