Arnell Memorial Humane Society Inc

For 25 years, Arnell has been a safety net for lost dogs and cats, providing shelter, reclaim, medical care, enrichment and adoption for animals in need. Our main sources of funding are donations, adoption fees, and fundraising events. Our animals receive shelter, food, water, TLC, multiple daily walks, medical needs, pet enrichment, and a brand-new home, which means a new start at life for them.

Last year giveBIG donations helped us renovate our dog isolation kennels. That project is going to be completed this spring. We can't wait! This year we are raising funds for our Veterinary Medical Needs Fund and for our SNAP program. 

Our Veterinary Medical Needs fund is to help shelter animals that need extra veterinary care, such as surgery for broken bones, amputations, and serious infections. This fund is not used for routine shelter care, such as spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, vaccinations, internal parasite treatment, or daily operations. The Veterinary Medical Needs Fund has helped many of our animals receive the care that they need to live happy and healthy lives in their new homes. Our SNAP (Spay Neuter Assistance Program) program is income based and helps Polk County residents get their pets spayed or neutered by selling them a significantly discounted voucher to get their pet altered at a participating Veterinary Clinic. This program helped alter 80 pets in 2025 alone.
